Single Frame Physics is a new experimental tyre model where the tyre and drivetrain are solved within the same physics frame, instead of reacting to slip from the previous one. This should make the car feel more responsive, and also gives us a bit more freedom with the situations we can simulate.

To make that work, the tyre model builds a contact patch under each wheel, bends the carcass from steering, braking and throttle, keeps that flex between physics steps, and turns the resulting deformation into force.

SFP is available for content creators to use in their cars, but you can also try it with existing ones using this test mode. Tyre parameters are worked out automatically from tyre size and type, and can be tweaked further in the SFP Tune app.
